OUR STORY
We are native Texans that graduated from Texas A&M and had the opportunity to move to Waco, Brandon’s home town, with our two young daughters in 2015. After visiting family in Granbury, TX, we noticed this beautiful property just outside of town and felt a strong calling toward it. Many thoughts and prayers went into the concept of Gathering Oaks and the property was purchased in December 2016.
After a lot of hard work, TLC and support from our family, the vision started to become reality in March 2017. With some inspiration from Chip and Joanna, we flipped the abandoned property from an old spa to a fresh and modern vacation rental in just three months! As guests began to arrive, it was clear that God had a hand in the property’s transformation.

THE PROPERTY
Gathering Oaks Retreat is a place where friends and family can come together to enjoy each other's company in a relaxing, secluded setting. The property will sleep large groups of up to 80 people, if children are included, in a variety of cozy accommodations. Gathering Oaks is available for complete rental to ensure privacy and connection for your group. You could also plan a quaint getaway for yourself or your family if we have availability within a 6 week window.
There are two indoor areas that are perfect for hosting events and 30 acres of outdoor space to create your ideal gathering under a canopy of oaks. There is a full kitchen available in the Gathering House and Two Bedroom Cottage as well as kitchenettes in many of our cabins and suites. We have a pool, fire pit, courtyard and turf grass lawn games, pavilions, grills, a walking trail, sports court and putting green available for our overnight guests to use.

As a vacation rental experience, we offer wide-open spaces, country charm, and privacy. We do not provide onsite restaurant/food, concierge, valet, daily maid service or 24/7 front desk.
